In facial asymmetries, the volume deficit may be real due to unilateral hypoplasia of various supporting structures of the skin, or virtual due to hyperplasia of the contralateral side.
Soft tissue augmentation with injectable gel fillers such as hyaluronic acid offers a non-invasive method to correct facial asymmetry.
Another feasible treatment for facial asymmetries is lipotransfer, discussed in this section (click here).
